Encore
Description
The Video Core team at SVT proudly performs an in-depth presentation of Encore, SVT’s transcoding solution for VoD. We will be delving into technical details and design choices, as well as Encore’s overall effect on internal workflows and external viewing experience. Although Encore is designed to be an open source standalone component, decoupled from any SVT specific dependencies, we will showcase how we use the solution in our media workflow and what kind of problems it is able to solve for us on a daily basis. We will also point out and discuss the ramifications that comes with working within the context of a public service broadcaster
