As streaming has matured, so has the understanding of the importance of data. To ensure the best possible viewer experience, streaming providers must gather and measure data throughout the streaming workflow. From encoders to caches, capturing this data is the first step to optimizing the technologies within the streaming stack. But this data can also shed light on third-party providers, like CDNs, and even the player environment. And even though collecting this data can be complicated and challenging, making sense of it is even more so. In this webinar, we will explore the what, why, and how of collecting data from within the streaming video workflow, drawing on work done in the Alliance’s Measurement/QoE working group.
